SAM DANCKERT

How has the start of 2024 been for you in terms of the real estate market?

I had formed expectations of a lift in market activity due to the rising popularity of our region, stabilised interest rates and the imbalance between supply and demand that exists in the housing market in Victoria. January results were well below the 5 year trend line and since then the market has been challenging to navigate with a reduction in the number of holiday house buyers and investors deterred by the rise in land tax rates to $4650 plus .9% of the land value above $1,000,000.

As a business we have had to innovate and invest to reach buyers for our listings to a broader international audience as the mainstream online advertising channels have been yielding very low levels of enquiry. Our results so far for 2024 have been a great source of pride with some sales above the quote range under competition and a new suburb record sale for Mt Martha at just under $11,000,000.

What are you most excited about as we head toward the end of the financial year?

With a reduction in the number of properties on the market, I’m excited about being able to focus more effort and energy on each of our listings and to work closely with vendors to ensure the best possible sale outcome is achieved.

Do you have any personal goals you are hoping to achieve this year?

I set a personal goal for 2024 being the year of my 40th birthday to buy my dream car - a Porsche 911. In March I achieved the goal and I’m loving my new vehicle! It’s a 911 Carerra 992 in Gentian Blue colour- almost Danckert Real Estate navy. Next is to complete an NDIS approved investment property in Geelong which is on track to be achieved Q4 2024.

What is your next holiday destination?

My wife Elise and I have two options we’re considering for 2025 - either Japan or New Zealand as they’re close by and kid friendly. We haven’t been to either country so it will be a novel experience for us and our sons wherever we go.

ALEX CORRADI

How has the start of 2024 been for you in terms of the real estate market?

The real estate market in early 2024 started with a significant increase in the number of listings for sale in the area compared to recent years. Given the greater choice of properties for sale, our attention had to shift towards nurturing buyer relationships and honing in on their specific requirements. It has been inspiring to see that Amber Sealey has secured a recent sale in Mt Martha for just under $11,000,000, which cements Danckert Real Estate’s spot at the top end of the market.

What are you most excited about as we head toward the end of the financial year?

I’m most excited about the quality properties that we have coming to market over the next couple of months. We have already started to see an increase in demand from buyers as confidence has continued to grow in the stability of the market and talk of interest rate cuts towards the end of the year.

Do you have any personal goals you are hoping to achieve this year?

My goal for this year is to maintain my healthy lifestyle of regular exercise and fitness and to continue to be the go-to agent for luxury property sales. My biggest goal is to see Danckert Real Estate grow exponentially over the course of the year and continue to break records across our service areas.

What is your next holiday destination?

This year I will be heading to Europe to escape our cold winter and enjoy a beautiful European summer in time to come back recharged and ready for a strong spring market.

AMBER SEALEY

How has the start of 2024 been for you in terms of the real estate market?

The market has presented its challenges based on new government reforms and interest rates. That being said I have adjusted the way in which I work to match buyers to properties and form strong relationships with my clients. I have also just achieved my highest sales result personally in my career of just under $11,000,000 for a tightly held acreage in Mount Martha.

What are you most excited about as we head toward the end of the financial year?

I anticipate the property market will continue to stabilise and therefore see more stock sell. Typically during the winter period listing numbers are lower in the area and therefore I think we should see some positive results with less stock on the market.

Do you have any personal goals you are hoping to achieve this year?

I hope to secure an investment property in the coming months along with gaining approval for a business I have bought into on the Daylesford Lake.

What is your next holiday destination?

I have a holiday booked for Canada and USA this coming winter, I am excited to get outdoors hiking with the kids and explore the natural beauty on offer.

Ian Ross

How has the start of 2024 been for you in terms of the real estate market?

We had a very positive start to 2024 off the back of a strong December period in Martha Cove Marina. I did see a bit of existing inter-buying/selling which is very encouraging for the estate having current owners wanting to invest further in the same area. There definitely was a lack of holiday home buyers which was reflected throughout the Peninsula region.

What are you most excited about as we head toward the end of the financial year?

As we hopefully see a bit more stabilisation occurring in the economy and vendors expectations meeting buyers expectations, I look forward to achieving good results for my current vendors with less stock typically for sale in the winter market here.

Do you have any personal goals you are hoping to achieve this year?

I am looking at diversifying my investment strategy in both the residential and commercial space and having more control over my retirement investments.

What is your next holiday destination?

At this stage if all goes to plan maybe Europe in 2025 as I have family in London and also in Mauritius - which the kids would love to visit as they don’t know much about where I was born and lived until I was 7 years old.

Jasmin Scott

How has the start of 2024 been for you in terms of the real estate market?

The start of 2024 in the real estate market has been quite promising. Joining the new real estate company in Mount Martha has been an exciting journey, with encouraging signs of growth and activity.

What are you most excited about as we head toward the end of the financial year?

As we approach the end of the financial year, I’m most excited about the opportunities for growth and achievement that lie ahead. The momentum we’ve built in the market sets a positive tone for what’s to come.

Do you have any personal goals you are hoping to achieve this year?

Absolutely, setting personal goals is crucial for me. This year, I’m focused on achieving both personal and professional milestones. Continuous improvement and growth are at the forefront of my aspirations.

What is your next holiday destination?

Our next holiday destination is Port Douglas. It’s a much-anticipated getaway where my family and I plan to spend quality time together, relaxing and creating cherished memories.

KATE MCNEILL

How has the start of 2024 been for you in terms of the real estate market?

The start of 2024 was noticeably busy in my role, especially in the Month of February when we had a lot of new listings and sales. It has been exciting to gain a new team member with Jasmin Scott, and to see her already achieving great results.

What are you most excited about as we head toward the end of the financial year?

I look forward to providing support to the team and some great sale outcomes for our clients.

Do you have any personal goals you are hoping to achieve this year?

I am looking at investing in another interstate property, we have seen great capital growth in a residential investment we made in Western Australia early last year.

What is your next holiday destination?

In August I will be heading to Nihi Sumba, which is an island an hour plane ride away from Bali. This is a bucket list honeymoon destination for my husband and I.
