THE LOCAL FILES: AMBER SEALEY

Amber Sealey has celebrated her 10-year anniversary as a property owner in Mt Martha by joining the Danckert Real Estate team.

Originally growing up in Hawthorn, Amber has been in real estate since leaving high school. Explains Amber, “My family are property developers, so I grew up with real estate agents in my living room and always had a fascination for architecture and interiors. I love meeting people and knew what I wanted to do career wise, so I did work experience with one of our family friends who was a real estate agent. Growing up in a traditional Victorian home I have a passion for properties that have personality and period features, houses that have some character and charm.”

Amber’s property journey started off in the residential market in property management with Fletcher’s Real Estate, and then in building management, sales and leasing in the commercial area in Melbourne. She worked with a few agencies before making her move to the Mornington Peninsula.

My move here was really spontaneous. I had met a friend for a walk on the estuary and had lunch at Via Battisti, and immediately fell in love with the area. So I went on realestate.com and bought a block of land in Mt Martha literally the next day. That was 2010 and we moved into our home in 2012.”

Amber has been living and working on the Mornington Peninsula with a few agencies whilst also raising her three children (now 10, 7 and 5 years old).  “The real estate agency has allowed me a lot of flexibility. I feel very fortunate to be able to do what I love, working part time whilst the children were really young. The real estate market has changed so much in the last 10 years. It seems like Mt Martha has become the new Sorrento – it’s the place to be. When I first moved here the locals were those with holiday homes who lived in Melbourne and visited on weekends and for the school holidays. Whilst it is of course still a holiday destination for many people, it’s much more residential now. People have discovered the secret.”

Amber first met Sam Danckert when he sold her house, and they kept in touch over the years.  And now she has joined the team. “I love the Danckert Real Estate branding and the company ethos. The experience I had with Sam when he sold my house was so positive, with the best customer experience I had received from any real estate agent. His presentation, and that of the whole team, is spot on.”

Explains Sam, “Amber brings her amazing energy, sound ethics and values, and a vast network of contacts that she has established across the Mornington Peninsula and from her time living in Melbourne. She earned her initial agent’s representative’s qualification in 2004 and has maintained a strong interest in the industry since then through work as an agent and personally building and renovating homes. We are thrilled that she has joined our team.”

Amber officially joined Danckert Real Estate on August 15th and brings her feminine energy with her. “I believe I will add a new energy and empathy, and complement the high level of customer service the team already offers. I am so passionate about the area and with three children, and my experience here, I have a lot of connections as well. I hope to be a very positive addition to the expertise that Danckert Real Estate brings to the real estate market on the Mornington Peninsula.”
